Sunday: Giving and Receiving

Laineyloveslife - sunday-bible verse-giving-receivingEvery once in a while, I’ll do posts like this.

Praying keeps me grounded and I hope that by sharing my thoughts, you’ll be reminded too that above all else (makeup, skincare, luxury goods, bountiful life), we should thank God for all the blessings we are receiving.

Thank God for your family. You might now always agree with them. You might have misunderstanding every once in a while but keep in mind that when the time comes you will need people to back you up, your family will be there for you to support you when you are right and to correct you when you are wrong.

Thank God for your friends. Good friends are hard to find and once you find them, treasure them and make them feel that you want and need them in your life.

Thank God for your partner in life. He or she makes your everyday special so strive to make each day special for them too.

Thank God for your children. You were given a big responsibility and raising them is an opportunity to become a better person. Children learn from parents but keep in mind that there are a lot of things grown-ups will learn from children too.

And my last reminder for today: Give more than you receive. Let us make the special people in our lives feel that we want them and need them. Let’s remind them of how happy we are having them in our life. Money, just like our many material things, may perish so let’s share what we have with our loved ones. I’m not even thinking of gifts right now. Money may be converted to quality time and acts of service too.

There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving.

I find this post really inspiring as I am now in the middle of something. You really just have to be positive in life. Giving is joy and receiving is bonus. Happiness isn’t about what we have, it is what we are.☺
